Description

The Department of Labor is holding this workshop to help you comply with federal laws regarding your health plan and answer questions about new laws and current trends. In addition, the forum will provide other speakers from the Veterans’ Employment and Training Service; Wage & Hour Division; and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
 
We recognize that understanding and complying with federal regulations can be challenging especially for small and medium sized employers with limited time, resources and/or access to professional assistance.  This workshop will provide practical information, helpful tips and clarification regarding federal laws pertinent to each agency.

  • EBSA will discuss COBRA and HIPAA.
  • VETS will discuss Employer Outreach and Veterans Employment.
  • Wage & Hour will discuss FLSA Basics for Employers.
  • EEOC will discuss the processing of discrimination charges and the processing and procedures of the mediation program.
